Vice-Rectorate of Educational and Academic Affairs in cooperation with Deanship of Development and Quality, has invited teams of Institutional and Programmatic Developmental Assessment on 6/5/2012 in Hedaia Building Halls. The meeting was held under the patronage of Dr. Saleh Al Kahtani ice-Rector of Educational and Academic Affairs. This is the first meeting for the teams since launching the Developmental Assessment Project on 21/4/2012.

Dr. Al Kahtani stressed on the importance of holding such meeting for the teams to work on their assigned duties. Further, Dr. Mansur Shahri Dean of Development and Quality denoted to the importance of preparing a clear executional plan for all the teams.

The meeting began by presentation about the project delivered by Dr. Hussein Mughrabi CEO of Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation Project. Dr. Mughrabi clarified that this is a joint project between the university and National Commission for Assessment and Academic Accreditation “NCAAA”. The project aims to prepare the university and a number of academic programs to obtain the academic accreditation on the institutional and programmatic level.  The presentation discussed a number of topics including Project goals, stages of the Institutional and Programmatic Developmental Assessment project and duties of the project committees.

Then, Dr. Shahri discussed standards of the institutional and programmatic scale, along with the importance of considering references to prepare an objective scales.

Furthermore, Dr. Al Kahtani talked about the project importance to the university. Then, he asked the teams to their best in order to achieve great results. At the end of his speech, Dr. Al Kahtani whished success for all the participants of this project.
